Mission Statement

Education: the mission of the Grand Traverse Band Education Department is to provide educational opportunities and guidance to all Tribal Members through parental, staff and community involvement. Our goal is to prepare Tribal Members of all ages to be successful as life long learners and to support and promote the use of our traditional culture and language. The Grand Traverse Band Education Department will assist Tribal Member learners in achieving their educational goals, today and always!

Youth Services: to increase the motivation and readiness of youth by bringing families and youth together with a broad range of physical, educational and cultural activities, by teaching respect and providing positive role models in order to insure the healthy future of the Grand Traverse Band youth.

Human Services: to provide services and referrals to Tribal Members in need of emergency services.
